1. William Loveless Hall. The Town Council owns and hires out the Community Hall, known as the William Loveless Hall at 87 The High Street. The William Loveless Hall has a main hall with a stage which can hold 180, a large equipped kitchen, toilets including disabled and 2 meeting rooms. Hiring enquiries should be made via the Council office

2. For events on King George V Playing Fields, the Sports Pavilion contains a main room, a kitchenette, toilets and showers. This building is let out to the Montessori School during each weekday.

3. A Minibus is available for hire (provided as a result of local fund-raising). The ‘Munty Bus’ as it is known, is a Renault Master MWB wheelchair accessible minibus for fourteen people (including driver). Drivers to be aged over 25 and with a ‘clean’ driving licence. Contact the WTC office for further hiring details.

4. Garden Refuse Sacks: Withdrawn by Colchester Borough Council.

5. Photocopying for Community Groups: is available from the counter at the Council offices.

6. A copy of the Electoral Register is kept at the Council offices should you wish to see if you are registered for voting within the Borough.

7. A complete file of planning applications and planning decisions for Wivenhoe is kept in the Council Office.

8. Allotments: Wivenhoe Council, in consultation with the Wivenhoe Allotments and Gardens Association, manages over 100 allotments, located on Rectory Road. Should you wish to rent an allotment, please contact the Council offices.

9. Cemeteries: The Town Council manages Wivenhoe’s cemeteries. The records for the cemeteries go back to 1847 and searches of records are available to the public for a small fee.

10. RADAR Keys: For a small fee registered disabled people can obtain a special key to the Disabled Toilet in the public conveniences. These are located in the public car park in the middle of the Town, opposite the Greyhound Public House.

11. Displaying your posters: Wivenhoe Town Council maintains four public notice boards. These are located a) in front of William Loveless Hall, b) at Vine Parade at the end of One Stop Shop, c) at The Cross at the side of the Premier Store/Post Office & d) Bowes Road, near to the junction of Claremont Road. If you hand in your notices at the Council offices, the staff will ensure that your notices are displayed on the notice boards.

12. General Advice and Referral: If you are unsure as to which level of government looks after which service, or if you are having a problem finding the correct department at the Borough or County Council, then we suggest you contact Wivenhoe Town Council. We can help.

13. Dog Exercise Area: An open area is provided for your dogs at the top end of the King George V Playing Fields. A bin for dog faeces is available and Scoop the Poop bags can be purchased from the Council office.
